Mahō Gakuin Seishun Hakusho — 魔法学院青春白書

The uniform designs alone are worth the price—each artist draws them with such meticulous detail that even the pleats and cuffs feel like part of the worldbuilding. The academic rivalries actually carry emotional weight, not just cliché duels, which kept me reading past midnight.

The illustrations by Inio Asano and the others are gorgeous, and the way they capture those immaculate uniforms makes the whole academy setting feel so alive. I wasn't expecting the academic rivalries to be written this seriously, but it totally sold me on the story.

The anthology's core is the academic rivalry between the students—the tension feels genuinely serious rather than just slapstick. I did wish a couple of the short stories were longer, but the variety of art styles from different creators kept it engaging throughout.
