Secret Lair x Hobitti: Smaugin saalis

The three artworks—Astruga’s, Hunt’s, and Gaboleps’—each reimagine the hoard so differently that flipping through them feels like three separate heists. Gold hills and those glinting gems really pop off the card stock in person. Shipping was quick and the packaging kept every panel pristine.

The card's flavor text about Smaug's hoard actually made me chuckle before I even sleeved it up, and the art direction across all three pieces nails that ominous, glittering vibe from the book. The gold foil borders catch the light in a way that feels properly treasure-like on the table.

The foil treatment on Smaug really makes the gold piles pop, almost like the card is lit from within. I've been staring at the David Astruga piece for a solid ten minutes, and the detail in the gems is unreal. This is exactly the kind of treasure I wanted to add to my collection.
