Secret Lair x Hobitti: Yli erämaan reunan

The art on these cards is absolutely gorgeous—the trolls look properly menacing and the spider scene gives me chills every time I flip through them. I grabbed this set mostly for the flavor text alone, and the "stay home" warning hits just right for a rainy afternoon draft.

Opened the box and the artwork immediately pulled me into the Shire—the textured finish on the card fronts gives it a storybook feel that photos don't capture. The flavor text across the set is so well-chosen that I found myself reading every single card aloud before even sleeving them. A must-have

The card stock feels heavier and sturdier than most foils I've handled, and the artwork across the troll and spider scenes really captures that uneasy trek through Mirkwood. I opened it expecting a quick flip, but ended up just staring at each piece for a while.
